Dutch and Flemish Painters of the 17th Century

Course Description
Rembrandt, Vermeer, Frans Hals, Rubens and Van Dyck make 17th Century Dutch and Flemish painting one of the exciting and important periods in all of art history. They tended away from the religious themes of earlier periods and focused on real people, domestic scenes and landscapes.  We will examine their work and the society in which they lived.
